In a startling discovery a Mendocino Innkeeper has been found to be in posession of several illicit substances. Shocking charges of pandering, corruption of morals and trafficking have been leveled at the seemingly mild mannered local business owner. In a midnight confession, Charles Reinhart - owner of the much esteemed Joshua Grindle Inn has admitted to possessing a large store of exotic substances, both intoxicating and stimulating. Found at the stately Victorian, located at 44800 Little Lake Road in Mendocino were a large cache of wines, 50 lbs of highly refined sugar, an incredible 10 lbs of "sweet" organic butter, and a staggering amount of intoxicating chocolate.

Reinhart and staff were reported to be in a frenzied condition under the influence of caffeine and several pounds of powerful organic Sumatran were uncovered at the business.

In a community rocked by the scandal, only close neighbors seem unsurprised and willing to comment. "The shameless smiles worn by all who departed the business made me suspect something unsavory was going on." said a woman who asked not to be identified.
In recent breaking news, the investigation seems to have widened to include other Select Registry inns that in cahoots with the Reinharts would dispatch unwitting "mules" to beautiful locations up and down the North Coast.

In comments to the media in his own defense, Reinhart explains "I never intended to contribute to anyone's delinquency, but things quickly got out of control. Once word circulated about the high quality and value of our product, the Joshua Grindle Inn went "viral". I mean, you can't find a AAA Four Diamond B&B anywhere else in Mendocino Village, and with the Select Registry connection and Trip Advisor reviews, we had our bonifides."
An arraignment date has not been set. At this time, it is believed that the business continues to operate and rebukes criticism. According to Cindy Reinhart, the defendants' moll, "Everyone does it". We're being unfairly singled out for doing it better. We will continue to serve traveling hedonists with personalized service and compassionate care. Our reputation will not be tarnished by humorless accusations."
